UNC has not launched on-chain yet. All trades are peer-to-peer agreements arranged directly between parties.
The Trading Zone is an over-the-counter listing board where members post offers to buy or sell UNC and arrange the trade between themselves. It is not an exchange, there is no order matching, and no funds are held or settled on your behalf.
How it works
- Browse listings posted by other community members
- Post your own buy or sell listing once verified
- Agree terms directly with the other party
- Track your own listings from the My Listings tab
Verification
Anyone can browse listings. Posting an order or interacting with another member requires eKYC verification, which is what keeps the board tied to real, verified people rather than anonymous accounts.
Trade carefully
Because these are private agreements between members, you carry the counterparty risk yourself. There is no escrow, no automatic settlement, and no way for anyone to reverse a transfer once you have made it. Whoever you deal with, the arrangement is between the two of you, and it is worth being deliberate about that rather than treating the board like an exchange.
Never share a recovery passphrase, banking password or one-time code with anyone arranging a trade with you. There is no legitimate reason for a counterparty to ask for any of them, and a request for one is the clearest signal you are being defrauded rather than traded with. Be equally wary of anyone insisting on urgency, or asking you to move the conversation somewhere it cannot be seen.
What this board is not
This is not an exchange listing, and posting here is not a price. UNC has no market price before mainnet, so any figure quoted in a listing reflects what two people agreed between themselves and nothing more. Pre-mainnet UNC cannot currently be converted to cash and may never have a monetary value.
If you are weighing whether to trade at all, the honest position is that you are dealing in something speculative and unpriced, with a counterparty you likely do not know. That is worth understanding before you agree to anything, not afterwards.
